Senior Citizens Sub Committee Report
With the firm belief that the senior citizens in the community with their wealth of experience can still have much to contribute if mobilised and properly organised, the Senior Citizens group was formed with the objectives as follows:
- To promote a healthy and active lifestyle among the senior citizens of the neighbourhood as well as fostering a strong bond and fellowship among its members
- To encourage members to share their skills, talents and creativities
- To provide a forum for members to discuss and share solutions related to ageing
- To cultivate goodwill and charity spirit through community services, and
- Ultimately to create a happy harmonious, interactive neighbourhood of senior citizens.
The activities being planned to achieve the above goals will be:
- Promote performing arts like dancing, singing, drama
- Hold art & craft classes like handiwork, painting, ceramics
- Organise talks on topics of interest like health, investment, hobbies
- Visits to places of interest, both local and overseas
- Get-togethers to celebrate major festivals and occasions
- Friendly competitions in both outdoor sports and indoor games
Membership is open to all residents of Taman Tun aged 50 years and above.

TTDI SECURITY PATROLLING SCHEME
Our security patrolling scheme was launched in November 2006 and to date the registered members of the Scheme number have surpassed the 1,000 mark. NEW RECYCLING SCHEME
FOR TTDI
Time: Every 3rd Sunday, 2 - 5 pm.
Place: Service Road between Mobil & Esso, Jln Burhanuddin Helmi
The TTDI RA has just finalised arrangements with Alam Flora to start a recycling programme in Taman Tun. This will be held every third Sunday of the month and interested residents with items for recycling can bring them to the service road between Mobil & Esso, off Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi. Alam Flora will pay for the items sent for recycling. For the full list of
