Security Sub Committee Report

In response to complaints received with respect to the security situation in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, the Residents’ Association Executive Committee has established a Security Sub-Committee.

Tuan Hj. Muda Ali is the Chairman of this sub-committee with Encik S. Murugiah and Encik Muhammad Marizwan Hj. Abdul Manan as appointed members. It is proposed to increase the number of sub-committee members to fifteen. We would request RA members to participate in this sub-committee. Those interested may contact the following for further information and participation in the activities of the Security Sub-Committee:

We hope that with the active participation of residents from the different areas in TTDI, there will be a well-distributed representation in the sub-committee.

Generally, the sub-committee will discuss with area representatives and residents and make recommendations with respect to:
  1. Improvement of security in TTDI;
  2. The establishment of a mobile patrol unit by private security personnel;
  3. The establishment of a “hot-line” to deal with burglary and theft cases including snatch thieves;
  4. Collection and analysis of data with respect to theft and burglary in TTDI;
  5. Liaison and co-ordination with the local police;
  6. Co-ordination with residents of neighbouring housing estates;
  7. Other security-related matters
There are many reasons why thieves and burglars strike. One obvious reason is the lack of, or perceived lack of, co-operation and co-ordination in security matters. It is therefore important that we strengthen and reinforce our co-operation and commitment to deal with this serious problem of theft and burglary.

We seek through this article the co-operation and assistance of not only RA members but all residents of TTDI

TTDI SECURITY PATROLLING SCHEME

Our security patrolling scheme was launched in November 2006 and to date the registered members of the Scheme number have surpassed the 1,000 mark. NEW RECYCLING SCHEME
FOR TTDI
Time: Every 3rd Sunday, 2 - 5 pm.
Place: Service Road between Mobil & Esso, Jln Burhanuddin Helmi

The TTDI RA has just finalised arrangements with Alam Flora to start a recycling programme in Taman Tun. This will be held every third Sunday of the month and interested residents with items for recycling can bring them to the service road between Mobil & Esso, off Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi. Alam Flora will pay for the items sent for recycling. For the full list of
