Publications Sub Committee Report

All residents of Taman Tun, irrespective of the fact whether they are registered members of the Residents' Association or not, receive a free copy of our newsletter produced by this Publications Sub Committee, which had been in action since 1992, producing three or sometimes four issues of the publication each year. The goal of the newsletter is to regularly disseminate information and news regarding the happenings in and around TTDI as well as the various activities planned for the neighbourhood. By so doing, it is hoped that all those as yet not registered as members will sign up soon.

The newsletter is distributed free to every residential house, commercial shophouse as well as the condominium units, totalling about 6,000 copies. This is possible by allowing the commercial and corporate firms in Taman Tun to advertise in the newsletter. The collection from these advertisements serves to defray the cost of production, printing and distribution of the newsletter. All intending advertisers can contact Ms Yusnita/Lin (Tel: 03-6157 6188) or Mr. Mah (013-302 5453).

A new role given to the Publications Sub Committee this year is to set up and run the RA's website. This is now up and running. We will welcome feedback from members on content of website as well as contributions for news articles to keep our website current and interesting.

TTDI SECURITY PATROLLING SCHEME

Our security patrolling scheme was launched in November 2006 and to date the registered members of the Scheme number have surpassed the 1,000 mark. In the first half of 2006, TTDI experienced

and this prompted the Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia to promote the imlmentation of

NEW RECYCLING SCHEME
FOR TTDI
Time: Every 3rd Sunday, 2 - 5 pm.
Place: Service Road between Mobil & Esso, Jln Burhanuddin Helmi

The TTDI RA has just finalised arrangements with Alam Flora to start a recycling programme in Taman Tun. This will be held every third Sunday of the month and interested residents with items for recycling can bring them to the service road between Mobil & Esso, off Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi. Alam Flora will pay for the items sent for recycling. For the full list of
